We're an active and proud unit of Scouting America, dedicated to providing a fun, educational, and hands-on program for youth and families in the Yorkville area.
Founded over 60 years ago on December 1, 1955, Pack 340 has a long tradition of building future leaders. We are part of the Three Fires Council, Potawatomi District, and are generously sponsored by the Moose Lodge.
We welcome boys and girls in Kindergarten through 5th Grade!
Our program focuses on developing leadership, citizenship, character, and personal fitness through engaging, family-friendly activities. Our leaders and parents are dedicated to ensuring a safe and exciting environment for every Scout to grow.
We are an active Pack with a busy calendar! During the school year, we hold one Pack Meeting a month, in addition to den-level activities. Our program is packed with popular yearly events, including:
The annual Pinewood Derby!
Our celebratory Blue & Gold Banquet.
Monthly hikes and outdoor adventures.
A fall family campout (a Pack favorite!).
Participation in various community service projects to give back.
We meet at the Beecher Center in Yorkville, IL.
Pack Meetings (All Scouts): Every third Thursday of the month, typically from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM.
Den Meetings (Smaller Groups): Normally the first and second Thursdays of the month, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM (den leaders confirm exact schedules).
